Hi Violet
What a chess challenge we had on our hands this week! Good on you for working with me to learn scholars, I hope you get to use it in a game soon!  It sounded like you were really enjoying drama for your talent development choice.  I wonder what stories you do for readers theatre??
See you next week

SCAMPER

Today  at Enrich   I learnt how to do SCAMPER.  SCAMPER is an activity that involves thinking outside the box.  In groups of three we had to pick an object to SCAMPER, and then we had to take photos of what we did with the item.  The things we had to do to our object (a pink fluffy cleaning thing)  were:

S = Substitute - We substituted it for a hair brush.
C = Combine - We combined it with a computer to make a fluffy mouse.
A = Alter - We altered it by taking the fluffy section off the handle and using it as a head band.
M = Mega/mini - We made our item small and it became a cake trowel.
P = Put to other uses - We used it as a handbag.
E = Eliminate - We took away the handle and made a pizza slicer.
R = Reverse - We reversed ours by turning it upside down so it looked like an upside down hairbrush.
